How to Pay for Hospice

At our hospice, we believe every eligible patient should have access to compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care without unnecessary financial stress. Hospice services are covered by most insurance plans, allowing patients and families to focus on comfort and spending meaningful time together.

It's very rare for a patient or family to have any out-of-pocket expenses.

Hospice Is Covered By:

Medicare

Most hospice patients qualify for the Medicare Hospice Benefit, which covers hospice services, medications related to the terminal illness, medical equipment, supplies, and support from the interdisciplinary care team.

Medicaid

State Medicaid programs typically provide hospice coverage for eligible individuals, including nursing care, medications, medical equipment, and other hospice-related services.

Private Insurance

Many private health insurance plans include hospice benefits. Coverage may vary by plan, and our team will help verify your benefits and explain any costs before services begin.

Veterans Benefits

Eligible veterans may receive hospice care through their VA benefits. We are honored to serve those who have served our country and can help coordinate benefits with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

What Hospice Covers

 Hospice care may include:

  • Physician oversight

  • Hospice aide services
  • Social work services
  • Spiritual care and counseling
  • Physical, occupational, and speech therapy, when appropriate
  • Medications related to the terminal diagnosis
